If you are a member of the german Krankenkasse (KK) you are still entitled to all necessary medical services within the possibilities given by law. Beyond that there are useful and desirable services, that are not included in the defined services of the KK. Preventive examinations of the eye have been totally removed from the catalogue of KK services. To be able to react in time to oncoming damages of the eye we strongly advise you to have periodical preventive examinations.
